For Wednesday 11/8, be sure to have read the five mini-stories and identified a THEME for each story as well as the supporting evidence for that theme.
1. Theme is a big idea or message that the author is communicating through a text.
2. Theme is a universal idea that can apply to our lives in the real world outside of the story.
3. Theme should be written in a sentence; it cannot be a single word!
