Hey guys, if you or your class didn't quite get to the end of Chapter 1 on Friday, you can catch up by clicking HERE and reading pages 11-12.
Your homework this weekend is to read the first few pages of chapter 2 (pages 31-38) and characterize the bus driver, Mr. Butt.
--> You received these photocopied pages IN class, but if you were absent or have lost them, you can click HERE and read pages 16 - middle of 19.
Using those photocopies of Chapter 2 and what you learned in class today about characterization:
1) Characterize Mr. Butt (a new character we will meet in Ch. 2)
--> 1 statement in which you state what kind of person you believe Mr. Butt to be
2) Your supporting evidence should use at least 3 of the STEAL methods to support this characterization.
--> 3 quotes from the text that show why you believe him to be this type of person.
–Be sure to include EVIDENCE from the text (cited correctly) and an EXPLANATION that includes adjectives that describe the character.
--> each piece of evidence should have a page number AND an explanation of how this quote shows him to be this particular type of person.
